Stampin' Up! Convention Day 1 - Bag Pick Up, Memento Mall, Swapping... And more.

I got to the convention center about 6:10 and there were already about 30-40 eager ladies already in the Memento Mall Line. SO I took up my place to wait. Really wanted one of the punch templates. So I met some of the ladies around me who were either finishing their swaps or swapping. Ellie (aka Scrapbookingmama) was right next to me and very fun to hang out with. Dina came around trying to swap Coffee for Cards. Was very funny.

I brought one of my Build-a-Bears this year, but she now has Bear Envy. This was one of the other bears running around... Please notice the following... Stampin' Up! Apron, Catalogs (both main and mini), order forms, convention name tag.. and on her arm...A swap bag. TOO DARN CUTE!!!!!

After buying some items in the memento mall. I went into the gather place, was picked to make a card in 25 mins (yes design and make) with Just Beclause... That is mine I am pointing to. Was only able to use what they had on hand so used some of the Christmas Cocoa DSP, and you can't see it in this picture, but... Dazzling Diamonds. Have to have a little bling right??? I will try to get a close up picture later. Batteries were running low.
After hanging out in the gathering place for a while I headed out to get something to eat and then to Stampin' Up! HQ to check out how it is with less crowds than last year. I arrived about 12:45 and was able to go on in. This is one of the ideas in the Museme on site. I love this idea. Might have to do someting like this in my living room.

So that was my day so far. Getting ready for the SCS Dinner tonight. This is my card for the swap. Lets just say after 50 of these I need more Heat and Stick and more Orange Fine Glitter. =o) isn't is so sparkly... and love how the label almost gives the impression of a bat.

I will try to post more pictures from today after the dinner. Thanks for stopping by.

Would Love to hear what you think, or if you have any advise. =O)

Can't WAIT.... but in the mean time I have been doimg Kristina's Color Challenge. I did last weeks but need to take a picture of it. =O) Really happy with the way this one came out in person, the photo blurred the rub on words a little =(

SO anyway...

You can click on the color inspiration to go to her blog and see all the other FAB cards... Here is mine... =O) Enjoy!

I used Close to Cocoa as the base for this 5x5 card. Then used Really Rust and Certainly Celery for the middle bands and used some of the rub ons from the mini that just ended (wishing now I had gotten more of these rub on... BEAUTIFUL!) I also used some of the Chocolate Chip Satin ribbon from the Ribbons Original Theater. The last little bit of pretties is the three Fern Rhinestone singles from me&my BIG Ideas Icons.... Love the way the add a little bling to the card...

Color Challenge #4

So one of my favorite Blogs to stop and check had her weekly Color Challenge and I decided to try it.... Here is her Challenge.

Here is my Card.

I used Whisper White as the Main Card with Tempting Turquoise as the backdrop, with Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa and Whisper White again as the main elements with Old Olive 5/8" grosgrain ribbon as an accent.

I used the Embrace Life Set as a simple statment.

Hope you all enjoy it. I have 8 more cards I need to take pictures of and upload for you all from the Virtual Stamping Night that Splitcoast Stampers had this weekend. It was so much fun. Finally got the camera working again. Amazing what fresh batteries can do. Now I just need to work on making the pictures I take better. *wink*

SO I am a horrible blogger... so going to post a few pictures today, two are going to be for a contest on Verve Visual. =O) The others are three of the items I sent as the reveal package on the Secret Stampers back in January.

This Card was made using all Stampin' Up! Products.

I used the new chucky Red glitter and one of the stamps out of the Time well Spent Set, Level 3 Hostess set.

Tried to make this a card that my boyfriend wouldn't mind getting for Valentine's day. =O)

Supplies: Real Red, Basic Black, Brushed Gold, and Whisper White Card Stock, Staz On Black, Gold End of the Zig Paint Pen, Sticky Tape, Red Chucky Glitter and Mono.

Here is the Second Card I made for this Contest.

Wanted to make a St. Patty's Day Card using some of the new Cosmo Glitter. It didn't come out well in the picture. Still learning how to take a better Picture of my cards.

I used the Set Pinch Proof on this as well as a rub on from the new Mini coming out next month.

Supplies: Green Galore, Basic Black, Brushed Gold and Whisper White Cardstrock, Green Galore and Gable Green Classic Ink, Rub Ons from Occasions Mini(perfect Day I think), Word Window Punch, Scallop punch, 1" and 1 1/4" circle punch, Dimensional, mono adhesive, Green Ice Circle brads and Celery Cosmo Glitter.

Here are the pictures of the reveal gift I made.

I will post all the supplies for the reveal gift later. I have to figure out everything I used. =O)

Hope you enjoyed looking today. Leave a comment if you like it.

Thanks,
Angie AKA Dragonpynk

Well I Seem to be a Monthly Blog...

So my last post was more than a month ago. I will endeavor to post more often. I have some cards to share with you all.

So all items used to make this card are Stampin' UP! I used the Arachnophobia wheel and colored in their eyes with white gel pen. They look so cute now. I used the words from Booglie Eyes and used the small and large tag punch on them. Added a hand drawn web in the corner with Versa Mark and Iridescent Ice. Cardstock is Only Orange and Basic Black.

So this one is All Stampin' UP! as well. It is the Baroque Motifs set. I did the background swirly stamp in Whisper White on Basic Black. I then did the Square design in Basic Black on Whisper White cardstock. with a the circle design in Purely Pomegranate on Whisper white and cut out and attached with a black eyelet. on the back is a there is a little Dazzling diamonds in the center . Hard to see but adds just a hint of sparkle. I used the Ticket corner punch on the cornes to finis it off.

SO those are the cards I wanted to share with you today. I will add more over the next few days.

Thanks for stopping by.
